Million Girl Army transforms middle school girls into globally compassionate teenagers. We work hard to show those who join MGA what their lives would look like if they lived somewhere else in the world. We share inspiring and enlightening stories with them, offer them opportunities to join local troops, and teach them the power of telling their own life story and how to use their voice to share the stories of those less fortunate with others in the world.
The more the girls learn about girls their age who live vastly different lives, the more they begin to show sympathy for the less fortunate and appreciation for what they themselves have. Giving the girls a voice and empowering them to use it collectively with other members of MGA changes the lives of disadvantaged girls worldwide while simultaneously members of Million Girl Army follow a path to become a globally compassionate teen.
