Once I saw with my own eyes the struggles of women my age in developing countries, I simply couldn’t ignore it. I had been given so many opportunities simply because I lived in the United States where dreams can come true for women. I wanted to use my skills to give young girls around the world the same opportunities and voices I had been given. Million Girl Army is the result of that desire.

Sara Johnson has been involved as a teacher, entrepreneur and manager for nearly 15 years before turning her attention to building Million Girl Army. MGA is the culmination of her career as she uses the skills she's learned to better the world for the next generation of girls, a mission she is deeply passionate about. So much so, she and her team provide their products and services for free to all who benefit from it.
